Speaking on the latest episode of the "Call Her Daddy" podcast, Thorne revealed she was aggressively pitted against her Disney Channel co-star Zendaya during the height of their teen stardom, Variety reports. The two became household names playing CeCe and Rocky across three seasons and 75 episodes of their hit Disney series between 2010 and 2013.

"Beg For One Spot"

Thorne didn't sugarcoat how it worked behind the scenes. "With women it's like, 'We have to make you all beg for one spot,'" she said, per Variety — describing a machine that asked young actresses to "beat each other down" for limited opportunities.
