Ciara Miller Scored A MID-PACK 21 On Mariah Carey Night And Still Got Sent Home — Meanwhile, A 13 Survived
A 21 wasn't safe, a 13 was, and Summer House's Ciara Miller is out of the DWTS ballroom. We are NOT okay.
Plot twist nobody ordered: a 13/30 survived, a 21/30 did not, and Summer House's Ciara Miller is the one packing her bags after Mariah Carey Night on Dancing With the Stars. It definitely wasn't "One Sweet Day."
The Tea ☕
- Ciara Miller and pro partner Brandon Armstrong were eliminated in Week 4 after a jazz routine to "Emotions," per E! News.
- They scored 21/30, which put them in a four-way tie for No. 6 out of 12 on the leaderboard.
- It's the second "shocking" elimination in a row, following Taylor Hanson and Britt Stewart's exit last week, according to Page Six.
Wait, She Was Mid-Pack?
Yep. A 21 plus viewer votes wasn't enough to keep Ciara in the ballroom. Mid-leaderboard and still going home is the kind of math that has fans yelling at their TVs.
Ciara kept it classy, saying she was "so grateful" for Brandon and calling the experience "the moment of a lifetime," per E!.
Brandon, meanwhile, said he was "super bummed" because Ciara "was one of those people that was getting better every single week." He's not wrong that the progress was noticeable.
The Reaction From Her Summer House Fam
Page Six caught up with co-star Kyle Cooke at its Virtual Reali-Tea Awards in NYC just minutes after the elimination aired. His reaction: "Oh, no. We all voted, too."
He added that Ciara "took it so seriously," noting training began back in August, and she even showed him a little two-step while filming Summer House. Aww.
The Danger Zone Was Even Wilder
Here's the spicy part. Co-hosts Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro revealed the other two couples in the bottom were:
- Guillermo Rodriguez and Witney Carson, whose samba to "Obsessed" earned the night's LOWEST score: 13/30
- Jackson Olson and Emma Slater, who got a 21/30 for a waltz to "Without You"
So the couple with a 13 survived, and the couple with a 21 didn't. Voting is a hell of a drug. (Also, E! reports Witney is already pushing back on rumors about the Guillermo partnership.)
Who Actually Crushed It
Not everyone had a rough night. The scores, per Page Six:
- Maura Higgins and Mark Ballas: 25/30 for a waltz to "If It's Over," the highest score of the night and of the season so far. Carrie Ann Inaba gave them the season's first 9 and said it was their best yet.
- Harry Shum Jr. and Jenna Johnson: 24/30 (tango)
- Ezra Frech and Daniella Karagach: 24/30 (rumba)
- Jenna Dewan and Val Chmerkovskiy: 24/30 (rumba)
- Amber Glenn and Pasha Pashkov: 23/30 (rumba to "Hero")
- Julia Stiles and Ezra Sosa: 21/30, with Carrie Ann calling their Viennese waltz a "breakthrough" for the actress
Tatyana Ali and Jan Ravnik earned a 20, Connor Wood and Rylee Arnold a 19, and Tyler Cameron and Sharna Burgess improved to a 21.
What's Next
Next week is Super Bowl-inspired dances, and it's still anybody's game. Ciara joins Conner Leavitt, Sarah Jane Nader, Giada De Laurentiis and Taylor Hanson on the list of departed stars.
So what's going on with the voting? Was Ciara robbed, or is a 21 just not safe at this point in the season? And who do you think is next out the door? Sound off below.
