Friday's entertainment news cycle came in HOT, and we've sorted it so you don't have to. Here are seven real stories from the last day, ranked from "mild eyebrow raise" to "we need to sit down."

7. Madonna Did NOT Buy Angelina Jolie's Mansion (Probably)

Several outlets claimed Madge snapped up Angelina Jolie's historic LA estate. Now Jolie's co-listing realtor says that's not true, per TMZ.

The home sold September 24 for $24.75 million, and the realtor isn't naming the actual buyer. Madonna had reportedly asked for a virtual tour in August, so the rumor wasn't random. It just wasn't right. Mystery buyer, we see you. πŸ‘€

6. David Bowie's Handprints Are Going Up For Auction

A rare 1996 Bowie self-portrait, complete with two actual handprints pressed into the paper, is heading to Sotheby's on October 15, Variety reports. The estimate is Β£35,000-Β£55,000.

It's one of eight self-portraits he made in that period, and it's the closest thing to touching Bowie you can legally buy. Ranked low only because we can't afford it.

5. Taylor Swift And Travis Kelce's Neighbors Have Fence Feelings

Marriage is beautiful, but have you met an Architectural Review Board? According to TMZ, neighbors at the couple's Ohio lakeside home are opposing a planned 6-foot black aluminum fence.

One neighbor's main worry is an old sewer line and the trees the couple wants to plant. Residents also reportedly raised concerns about deer. Peak newlywed drama: zoning edition. TMZ says the board heard both sides about a month ago.

4. Hugh Hefner's Widow Asks Jessica Biel To "Please Reconsider"

Crystal Hefner shared a DM she sent Jessica Biel asking her to reconsider playing a Hefner wife in the upcoming Playmates, per Deadline and Page Six. E! News also has the story.

It's a serious plea, and it puts a spotlight on how these "inspired by" biopics land with the people connected to them. We'll wait to see how Biel responds.

3. 'American Horror Story' Witches Thought This Was The LAST Season

Jessica Lange, Sarah Paulson, Billie Lourd and the Coven told The Hollywood Reporter they believed season 13 would be the end. Then Ryan Murphy said he wants to keep going "forever."

Lange, bless her, was not shy: "I do feel like he said it." The plot twist behind the plot twist. Lange also revealed that playing Margaret Thatcher in the Jezebel's Ball scene was her own idea. Iconic.

2. 'Crystal Lake' Promises Kills Nastier Than The Movies

The Friday the 13th origin series is going "a lot more brutal" than the films, creator Brad Caleb Kane said at NYCC, per The Hollywood Reporter. It has "shot-by-shot" recreations of film scenes, Linda Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, and a very specific limit: no hockey mask, because of where the timeline falls.

They also filmed in the original Blairstown, New Jersey woods. Horror fans, this one's for you.

1. A Dead Voiceover Legend May Have Been "Resurrected" By AI In A Royal Mail Ad

This is the story that stuck with us. Lucy Wynne says she heard her late father Paul Vaughan, the voice behind Horizon and Paddington audiobooks, in a 2025 Royal Mail Christmas ad. Deadline reports Royal Mail admitted the narration was AI-generated, but said it was "not designed to replicate any specific individual."

Deadline's analysis found "considerable phonetic similarity," per a University of York forensic speech expert. ElevenLabs, whose tech was reportedly used, confirmed it wasn't a direct voice clone and has since added Vaughan to its "No Go Voices" list. Wynne called it "outrageous."

To be clear: it's not proven the AI was trained on his voice. But it's a huge conversation about AI, voice actors and consent, and it's number one for that reason.

The Tea β˜•

  • Madonna reportedly isn't the buyer of Angelina's mansion.
  • Crystal Hefner wants Jessica Biel to rethink Playmates.
  • Royal Mail's AI voice has a family asking hard questions.

Your turn: Did we rank these right? Is the AI voice story #1 for you, or are you more invested in Swift's fence saga? Drop YOUR ranking in the comments.
