Shivon Zilis Says Elon Musk Ended Things With 'No Warning' — One Week After A Very Sweet "Love You" Text

Well, this one is a lot. Shivon Zilis has confirmed she and Elon Musk have split, and she says it happened "with no warning" just a week after they swapped "love you" texts.

She shared the news in a lengthy post on X on Friday, according to Page Six and E! News.

• Zilis, 40, says Musk, 55, ended their relationship of more than five years abruptly.
• She posted a screenshot of a text exchange from a week earlier where both said "love you."
• She says she hopes they can be "great friends and co-parents" to their four kids.

The Line Everyone's Quoting

Her post opens with this: "It's hard to go from in love to let go in a week with no warning, but that's just how it is sometimes." Ouch, with a shrug emoji.

From there it gets heartfelt. Zilis wrote that she's happy she got to show Musk what it feels like to be "deeply understood, nurtured, and peacefully loved with stability and gentleness," per Page Six.

She described their home as a "safe space" for him, a place of "happiness and love, not war," and a break from what she called his "militant existence."

She also said she loved him "more than life itself" and that she's "hurting," but will "always be cheering for his happiness." Her sign-off: "Godspeed, Elon. The world is lucky to have you."

The Receipts

Zilis also attached a text thread from a week earlier. In it, she tells Musk it was "really wonderful to see you for breakfast. Love you very much," and he replies, "Love you too."

Page Six reports he went on to explain he hadn't realized a Sept. 24 dinner he attended with President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping included significant others, adding that he would have invited her had he known. She replied, "Aw, that means so much to me."

Then, per her post, a week later, it was over.

The Family Side

Zilis and Musk share four children: twins Strider and Azure, born in 2021, daughter Arcadia, born in 2024, and son Seldon Lycurgus, born in 2025, according to Page Six.

E! News notes they're four of Musk's 14 children overall. Zilis says the kids "make every single day the best day of my life."

What About Elon?

So far, silence. E! says it reached out to Musk for comment and hadn't heard back at the time of publishing. We only have Zilis's side of the story here, so we'll wait and see if he responds.

Page Six also notes the timing comes shortly after Musk's first wife, Justine Musk, spoke critically about their marriage in a new documentary that premiered at the Venice Film Festival.
