The Kelce Brothers Have Finally Reviewed Taylor Swift's "Cleveland!" — And Travis Said One Very Sweet Thing
Travis and Jason Kelce have weighed in on Taylor Swift's Cleveland Heights-inspired new track "Cleveland!" on New Heights — and the verdict is in.
Stop scrolling, because the most important review of Taylor Swift's new song has officially landed, and it comes from the man it's about. Travis Kelce has heard "Cleveland!" and he is a FAN.
The Kelce brothers dug into the track on Wednesday's episode of the New Heights podcast, according to Page Six. Here's how it went.
The Tea ☕
- "Cleveland!" is a track on Taylor's four-song Encore release, and it's a love letter to Travis's Ohio roots.
- Travis and Jason both gave it a glowing review on New Heights.
- Fan reaction to the Encore tracks overall was reportedly mixed, but the Kelces are not part of that camp.
So, What Did They Actually Say?
Travis kept it short and sweet. "Shout out to Tay Tay for making that song, just giving the city a little more life," he said, per Page Six. E! News also has him adding, "I love it, man."
Jason was just as enthusiastic. "Dude, that song is incredible," he said.
He also revealed that he and his wife Kylie have been playing it on repeat at home. "There's just something about it that makes you feel real good," he added. A Kelce household bopping along to Taylor is honestly the wholesome content we needed today.
About The Song Itself
"Cleveland!" name-checks Travis's hometown of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and gets very personal. In the chorus, Taylor sings, "My baby likes what he likes / He already took me to Cleveland / And showed me The Heights / So hate all you like / This is the love of my life."
There's even a nod to his childhood home, with the line about "that house with the porch" where he lived as a kid.
Yes, she wrote the "hate all you like" line about her husband. We are not okay.
Wait, Was Everyone Else As Into It?
Not entirely! Page Six notes that the original fan reception to the Encore tracks was mixed, with some people asking whether she might keep a few songs in the vault. Taylor released the four-track set (Patient Zero, Cleveland!, Pink Clouding and Babylon) just last week.
The Kelces, for what it's worth, seem fully on board.
A Very Kelce Pattern
This isn't the first time the brothers have reviewed a Taylor song about Travis on the pod. Page Six points out they also picked apart "Wood" from The Life of a Showgirl last October, laughing over the lyrics at the time.
Taylor and Travis married on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, per Page Six, so this is technically a husband reviewing his wife's love song. Adorable.
