Stop everything, because Travis Barker and Kourtney Kardashian just opened up about the most emotional chapter of their love story β€” and honestly? We need a minute.

The couple's new Hulu documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear (streaming NOW, btw) just dropped the most heartbreaking details about their journey to baby Rocky, including an emergency fetal surgery that had Travis canceling shows mid-tour to be by Kourtney's side.

And that's just the beginning of what they went through.

The Emergency That Stopped Everything

Picture this: Travis is touring Europe with Blink-182 when his phone rings. It's Kourtney, seven months pregnant, calling with news that would make any parent's heart stop.

"She says, 'Trav, I went to my doctor and the baby's lungs are filling with fluid,'" the drummer, 50, revealed in the documentary, according to E! Online.

The treatment? Emergency fetal surgery where doctors had to drain fluid from Rocky's lungs by placing a needle through Kourtney's stomach. Yes, really.

"It was terrifying going in for the surgery," Kourtney, 47, admitted. Travis immediately canceled four shows and flew to her side, staying with her in the hospital to make sure everything was okay.

And the fear was real. "Once you've experienced a miscarriage, you're just waiting for something awful to happen," Travis confessed.

Wait β€” a miscarriage?

The Tea β˜•

Before we go on, here's what you need to know:

  • Kourtney got pregnant just six months into their relationship with a baby girl they planned to name Tulip
  • They lost the baby in the first trimester when doctors couldn't find a heartbeat
  • They tried IVF five times over eight months before conceiving Rocky naturally
  • Rocky was born healthy on November 1, 2023 β€” and Travis calls him a "miracle"

The Heartbreak They Survived First

The documentary doesn't hold back about the couple's devastating loss, as Page Six reports.

"When we lost the baby, we were devastated," Kourtney recalled. "We just laid in bed and cried for days. All we wanted was to have a baby together."

So they turned to IVF β€” and it was brutal.

When Your Body Says No

Kourtney tried IVF five times over eight months, and each attempt took a serious toll on her mental and physical health.

"It felt like my body was shutting down," she explained in the doc. "Each time we would try it, it just felt so disappointing. It really did something that messed with me mentally."

The reality star remembers breaking down to Travis: "I can't do this anymore."

So they stopped. And then? The universe had other plans.

The Miracle Baby

Kourtney and Travis conceived Rocky naturally during their Valentine's Day 2023 getaway to Utah (the one with ALL the steamy Instagram pics, if you remember). And on November 1, 2023, their baby boy arrived healthy and happy.

"It was a miracle," Travis gushed. "He's the healthiest, happiest little human I've ever met."

Kourtney added that having Rocky gave Travis "another chance to do what he loves most and does best: being a father." (Travis is already dad to Atiana, 27, Landon, 22, and Alabama, 20, with ex-wife Shanna Moakler.)

And Then It Got Even More Emotional

The documentary also features a posthumous cameo from late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins, who died in March 2022. In footage filmed before his death, Hawkins recalled meeting a young Travis when he was literally picking up trash in Laguna Beach.

"He was a trash man, literally, just trying to fβ€”king make something happen," Hawkins remembered, noting that everyone around Travis knew he was "gonna get picked up by a band, eventually β€” and you will be the star attraction in that band."

Travis got a hawk tattoo in honor of his late friend, and wrote that Hawkins' early encouragement gave him "so much hope and determination."

WE ARE NOT OKAY. 😭

The Documentary Everyone's Talking About

Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear was filmed over NINE YEARS (2017 to 2026) and covers everything from Travis's near-fatal 2008 plane crash to his opioid addiction recovery to finding love with Kourtney.

The couple has been together since 2021, got engaged that October, and tied the knot in a surprise Vegas ceremony after the 2022 Grammys (followed by a proper Italian wedding in Portofino).

And now they're sharing the vulnerable, beautiful, terrifying journey that brought Rocky into their lives.

Honestly? The love, the resilience, the way they showed up for each other through literal medical emergencies β€” this is the kind of celebrity couple content we actually want to see.
